Study on how travellers handle flightstop

2011-05-24

The controlled airspace of many European countries was closed in almost a week between the 15th and 23rd of April 2010. This was due to the ashes ejected when the volcano Eyjafjallajökull (Iceland) erupted. This very special situation, posted a unique opportunity to study how people react when they suddenly have to change their travel arrangements. Trivector seized this opportunity and carried out an online survey, investigating how the sudden change in the air traffic influenced peoples’ travels and their general view on transport. The study contains an english summary.
